You walked down the tower corridor, heading straight for Thor's room.

“Thor, I got you your Pop-tarts,” you said as you walked in.

And that was when you noticed that he wasn't alone. Three men were standing there, dressed as strangely as the Thunder God himself.

“Oh. I didn't know you had company.” You turned around to leave, but Thor raced over and threw an arm over your shoulder.

“Nonsense, Lady (Y/N), these are my comrades from Asgard. They come for visits every now and then, just to make sure that I am well and Loki is behaving himself.” And before you could say anything in response, he had turned you to face the men.

“This is Hogun, Volstagg, and Fandral.”

Hogun merely nodded at you. He was arguably the smallest of the three, but he had an air of calm that comes with being self-assured. He seemed to give a new meaning to “strong, silent type”.

“Greetings!” Volstagg boomed, clapping you on the shoulder. The action nearly bowled you over and he seemed to find that quite amusing.

And then there was Fandral. In a move that would have made Tony Stark proud, he grasped your hand in his and let his lips graze your knuckles. “The pleasure is mine, fair one.”

You chuckled nervously, pulling your hand from his grasp. “Nice to meet all of you.”

And then the door behind you opened and a woman walked in.

“Ah, and this is Lady Sif,” Thor told you. Your eyes widened.

“Lady Sif?” you repeated. “Wow. It's such an honor to meet you. Thor has told me a lot about you.”

“About her?” Fandral protested.

Sif glanced at him. “Let the girl speak. Continue.”

“He's told me about several of Asgard's greatest victories, and about how you were instrumental in the battles. He says you're one of the greatest warriors that he's ever known.”

A quiet murmuring began behind you, but you didn't hear it.

Sif merely chose to ignore it, smiling slightly at Thor. “Our would be prince is known for stretching the truth a bit. But thank you.”

“You and Lady (Y/N) would do well to spend time together,” Thor said. This time, Sif's eyes widened as she looked at you.

“Of course! You are the young lady that can harness electricity. It is an honor to meet you.”

Your mouth fell open. “You—He's told you about me?” you stammered.

“Not many people have a gift like that, even on Asgard. And even fewer would be able to handle the power of Mjolnir.”

“It's not that bad, actually. I mean, my hair looks like the bride of Frankenstein afterwards but--” A puzzled look crossed her face and you shook your head. “Never mind.”

A large rumbling suddenly started, and you saw what looked like a funnel of rainbow colors open on the wall of Thor's room.

“Give Heimdall my best,” Thor said. They nodded and said their good-byes. The Warriors Three went through first.

Sif, however, hesitated. She turned back and looked at you.

“Next time we meet, I want to test your skills,” she said. You nodded in response.

And then the colors had vanished, along with the four of them.

Heimdall entered the hall late that night to see the four warriors sitting around the table, arguing fiercely. And in between, they continued to consume their weight in ale and mead.

“My axe is the mightiest weapon next to Mjolnir!” Volstagg exclaimed as he slammed down another tankard.

Hogun shook his head. “My skill with knives makes me more of a threat: I can cause harm up close or from far away.”

“My sabre has saved his life more times than I can count! He should have been talking about me!” Fandral exclaimed.

“If I could interject,” Heimdall said finally, “Thor has trusted each of you with his life on more than one occasion. You are all great warriors, and he speaks of each of you proudly when he talks of his homeland.”

“As for Fandral, I believe he is just jealous that Lady Sif charmed a woman faster than him.”

Volstagg spluttered and coughed, nearly choking from his laughter. Hogun smirked slightly. Fandral nearly fell out of his chair.

Lady Sif grinned and stood up. “The great and powerful Heimdall has spoken! Good evening, boys.” Fandral waited for her to leave before he spoke up.

“Heimdall!” he hissed. “I thought we were friends!”

The guardian blinked his large, golden-orange eyes. “That was before your petty arguments interrupted my sleep.”
