Avengers x Fem!Element Controlling Reader (Intro)

The Avengers sat in the meeting room, wondering why they had all been called in. The only one who seemed to know anything was Natasha (as always) but she wasn't about to let anyone else in on the secret. Everyone looked up as Fury and Agent Hill strode into the room.

“Agents,” Hill greeted them. “I imagine you're all wondering why you're here.”

“I'm more curious as to why you're here,” Tony stated. “Just can't get enough of me, huh?” She ignored him and continued to speak.

“After the last attack on the Earth, we've been widening our search to find more recruits for the Avengers team.”

That got everyone's attention.

Bruce frowned. “Please, Agent Hill. We don't need anyone else.” And one could certainly understand his reasoning. The poor guy didn't need anyone else being in the danger zone in case the other guy decided to rear his head.

“Yes, Mjolnir will more than suffice for any of our enemies.”

“We've even got the Maximoff twins and Vision on our side.”

“Plus, we have Bucky and Sam as back-up,” Steve reminded her.

“That may be,” Nick Fury said, finally speaking up, “but the fact remains that none of them are official members of this team, and they each have their drawbacks. Pietro and Wanda Maximoff are unpredictable in the field. Agent Barnes is coming to terms with being in the future and helping HYDRA. Falcon is still new to the entire operation, and so is Vision, who's new to being alive at all.”

“And you want to add another new recruit on top of them?”

“Yes,” he said, nodding to Agent Hill. “And you're all going to cooperate on this. Are we clear?”

They all grumbled underneath their breath.

“Are we clear?”

“Clear,” Natasha said after a moment.

“Thank you, Agent Romanoff.”

“Kiss up,” Clint muttered.

“Avengers, meet our new recruit. Codename: Terra.” Everyone glanced up to see a (h/c) girl standing there next to Agent Hill, watching them with intelligent (e/c) eyes. She was wearing faded blue jeans, boots, and a t-shirt. She looked...normal, for lack of a better word.

“Hi,” you said, smiling at them. “Don't listen to Agent Fury. Terra is fine for missions, but (Y/N) is my actual name.” They merely stared.

“Terra, meet The Avengers Team: Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Clint Barton, Bruce Banner, and Thor Odinson. And you've met Agent Romanoff.”

The red head nodded to her. “Good to see you again.”

Agent Hill cleared her throat. “Come on, I'll give you a tour,” she said, leading you away.

The doors had hardly shut before Tony shouted, “Dibs!”

Director Fury slammed his hand down on the table. “Stark, this is not a joke. That girl is not to be provoked.”

“She seems quite harmless, Friend Fury.”

“You don't understand. She controls the elements. That means: water, fire, earth and air. And she's progressed far enough to work with a few others. I don't think you want to play with that kind of power. Do we understand each other?”

Everyone nodded.

“Good. Dismissed, Agents.”
